More Tools (Families)
The tools on this page are to support families in having conversations as they watch the videos and look at the discussion guides.
Fact Sheet and Glossary
Fact Sheet and Glossary: Family members may have different ideas of what “transgender” means, or may be more or less familiar with language commonly used to describe gender. This fact sheet and glossary can create a shared foundation for talking about gender.
Biases and Assumptions Activity
Biases and Assumptions document: We all hold biases, or prejudices in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another. We also all have assumptions, or things we believe to be true, even without supporting evidence. It can be helpful to talk about biases and assumptions before having conversations about new ideas. This document will help you think about and record your own biases and assumptions with your family or mental health provider.
